New updates about our organizational transformation

The Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger continues to transition to its new organizational framework and structure. Dolores Ramirez, our Executive Director of Vision, shares updates about the Blueprint’s transformation in a new video message.

Here’s an overview of what she covers:

  • Our new mission statement — build a movement for more responsive, equitable, and sustainable food systems by shifting power to our Colorado communities.
  • Our new core values — be bold, own our actions, stay curious, respect one another, and work together
  • When we’ll introduce new committees, including the Community Council and Communications & Accessibility Committee — both beginning this October, with more information to come in the next few weeks
  • Changes to other existing spaces like the quarterly food access updates meetings with state agencies — transforming into the bi-monthly Colorado Food Systems Roundtable, with the next meeting on Tuesday, September 24
  • Other transitions like:
    • Converting the Microfuding project team to the new Grant Review Committee next month
    • Sunsetting the Governing Council and recruiting for our new Advisory Board (with applications due Friday, August 30)
  • And what to expect when joining our spaces going forward — like required orientations before officially participating in any of our committees and/or projects
