Since sharing and listening with compassion and empathy builds stronger connections and fosters a sense of community, the Blueprint is launching the Storyteller’s Corner in late February. On the fourth Thursday of each month, those with living and lived experiences of hunger can join us to share, listen, learn, and refine their stories.

Next Monday, we’ll commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day – reflecting and recommitting in honor of the civil rights leader who gave his life to advance equity and justice for all. Last fall, the Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger proudly relaunched its Advocacy Leadership Academy with fresh content and a new name. We recently celebrated the graduation of our inaugural cohort — 12 passionate community members who successfully completed the eight-week program.

The Governor’s Office, Colorado Department of Human Services, and Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger have come together to announce the distribution of $2,611,500 in funding from the State to 83 food pantries, along with the five Feeding Colorado food banks and their hunger-relief partners across the state.

The Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger, partnered with Feeding Colorado, to collect candidate questionnaires for key 2024 Congressional races. The intent is to inform voters about their stances on food insecurity-related issues.

The Colorado Department of Agriculture created new regional coordinator positions to support workforce development and farm equity across the state. They’re designed to uplift farmers and farm workers who identify as female, a person of color, and/or LGBTQIA2+.
