We’ve got a new name and look — and both say a lot about who we are, how we work, and what we believe. Provecho Collective (pronounced as proh-BEH-choh in English) is more than an evolution from Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger; it’s an invitation. Everyone should have a seat and a voice at the table, helping shape Colorado’s food system.
Provecho comes from buen provecho, a warm, everyday wish in Latine cultures for others to be nourished and enjoy their food. It’s a phrase of care, connection, and community, all values at the heart of our work. Collective speaks to how we do this work: together, with and alongside Colorado communities.
Together, the name embraces who we are and the people we work alongside as a multicultural and bilingual collective action nonprofit organization that’s rooted in equity and shared power. Learn more about our new name and logo.
Evolving With Purpose & Community
Since 2019, we’ve worked together to ensure everyone can access the food they need and want with dignity and choice across Colorado. Our mission initially focused on five big goals guided by a five-year action plan called the Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger.
In 2023 – 2024, we embarked on a year-long transformation process with our network, staff, and former Governing Council. That process made it clear: we needed to evolve alongside our community. And our former name, Colorado Blueprint to End Hunger, no longer captured the full picture of what we’re building together.
Today, we’re working to advance everyone’s right to food (food justice) and community power to shape how food gets from farm to fork (food sovereignty) across Colorado. Our new name and identity reflect that commitment and the people-powered movement to ensure food for all, today and tomorrow.
- Our vision remains the same: a Colorado where everyone can access the food they choose, where they want it, and when they need it.
- Our mission now centers on building a movement for a more responsive, equitable, and sustainable food system by shifting power to our Colorado communities.
Why Now?
We began exploring a potential rebrand in Spring 2024 after wrapping up our transformation process. At the time, resources were more available, and the timing allowed us to thoughtfully invest in better aligning our name and look with our updated mission and commitment to equity.
Even as the political and economic landscape has shifted, and many organizations face increased constraints, the need for a name and identity that reflects who we are — and the movement we’re building — remains just as important. We approached the process with care and a cost-conscious mindset, relying on a mix of staff capacity, planned budget allocations, and support from a nonprofit-focused PR and marketing firm in Colorado.
Throughout, we’ve ensured that the majority of our resources continue to go where they matter most: supporting community-led solutions, convening collaborators around shared priorities, strengthening local capacity, and advancing bold policy change.
