Learning & Evaluation
Rooted in data, grounded in community
At Provecho Collective, we see learning as nourishment that fuels Colorado’s food justice movement with the insights, reflections, and connections that grow from and with community.
When guided by community voices, data becomes a tool for reflection, storytelling, and lasting change. It helps us see what’s working, where gaps remain, and how to cultivate more just, local food systems across Colorado. That’s why we weave learning and evaluation into everything we do, not just to track outcomes and progress, but to stay grounded in what matters most to Colorado communities.
Our Approach
Our Data & Evaluation Framework demonstrates our commitment to equity, including transparency, accountability, and community power, so data about our food system can serve as a tool for transformation, not just measurement. Our five principles are:
- We put people above data.
- We hold each other accountable for respectful and valid data.
- We recognize the need for various equity indicators and measurements.
- We strive to balance accessibility and privacy.
- We approach data and evaluation with curiosity, clear goals, and a love for story.
