Communications & Accessibility
Shifting narratives and creating space for every voice
At Provecho Collective, we believe bringing more voices to the table will help us shape a more just, nourishing Colorado food system that works for everyone. That’s why accessibility for all is central to how we operate and communicate — so more people can engage, lead, and take action toward a better food future across Colorado.

How This Shows Up in Our Work
Provecho Collective aims to ensure everyone can fully participate at our shared table and have a voice in shaping Colorado’s food system by:
- Using plain language to make information easier to understand for all people
- Practicing language justice, meaning everyone can participate in the language of their heart; we offer bilingual access in English and Spanish and welcome other accommodation requests
- Prioritizing cultural relevance in everything we create and share
- Co-creating public resources like food justice common terms and acronym glossary
- Hosting spaces that are welcoming, inclusive, and respectful for everyone
Amplifying Community Voices & Solutions
We share the stories, experiences, and solutions from Colorado community leaders and advocates to uplift the power of local change — and to help spark more of it across the state.Â
Through tools, trainings, and other support, Provecho Collective helps grassroots leaders and organizations tell their stories, in their own words, through local media and other platforms to shift how people think, talk about, and take action around food. We also invite community members to help us and our partners ensure public-facing materials are clear, accessible, and inclusive.
